I went to my first punk show in Madison in 1986, did my first zine (Intense Expression) and started playing out in my early bands (Natural Cause) a couple years later.

From there I played in a bunch of bands like Demise, Business as Usual, None Left Standing and The Promise Ring.

I first came to know Milwaukee kids when an early band of mine, Minus One hosted a show in my parents basement for Trademark. Crazy Jill tried to steal some of my metal tapes and I met a bunch of really cool people like Mike and Milt. Milwaukee kids had a whole different vibe and were much more aware than the Madison kids. It was the start of something really great.

Today I am the Art Director for Madison Magazine, I'm married with a son and I still listen to hardcore.
