milwaukeehardcore.net was created primarily to document the Hardcore & Punk Rock scene that existed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin during the late 1980's and early 1990's...

In the film Punk: Attitude someone mentioned how punk was in the spotlight in the late 1970's and even somewhat in the early 1980's but it seemed to disappear during the late 1980's - but the fact was - it didn't disappear, it just went underground, the media wasn't paying attention (and that was a good thing!) and we were free to do what we wanted, and the people involved were the ones who really cared about it. Then the 1990's came, and "alternative" was all the rage, and everyone was out to make a buck off of "punk rock" so...

Well, you know the story... So help us document it here.

Were you around Milwaukee (or Racine, Kenosha, Waukesha, Madison) during the late 1980's or early 1990's? Did you put on shows, play in a band, put out records or tapes, make flyers, publish zines?
