If I recall correctly, it was all done using a page layout program (PageMaker perhaps?) and may have even been a school project.

Pete Prodoehl put out a zine named Warm Cereal which was a parody of the name, and was also done using a page layout program, probably QuarkXPress 3.x I believe.

I think Milton Zorro ended up doing a parody of Pete's parody at some point, which did not use any page layout program...
