Optophobia

Published by Eric Stein, from Pewaukee

Optophobia was a very well produced zine graphically and had lots of text. It came out infrequently...

Six issues were published between January 1988 and June 1990, mostly covering Wisconsin bands.

  • First zine I ever worked on was Optophobia. I had asked Eric if he needed help and I was the guy if he did. He got me set to keyboarding an interview, I think, he did with Heresy (?) on his or his parents IBM typewriter in the living room while he worked on the layout in his room. It was late in the afternoon. This was my introduction into the world of zines and after this brief introduction I had blindly set-out to do Tiny. Chances are, I would not be in the career I am in without Eric's help. Matthew Pickard 10:39, 13 Dec 2006 (PST)
