Most incredible show I remember in the ballroom: Bad Brains & Leeway, 1989

Other good ones (downstairs): Nation of Ulyses (w/Fugazi), GBH, Dick Dale...wait, that's not hardcore...but it was fricken' amazing! --Kevin (XYZine)

• When I was in Hardware we opened for G.B.H. there in 1989 maybe...? I felt bad because lots of people said they came to see us and didn't care about G.B.H. but still paid the $10 to get in... --Pete Prodoehl

• Again too many shows to recall. However, when the Cro-Mags and Death played had to be one of the most ear-damaging shows I went too. Seriously. For three days afterwards I could not hear anything but a "BbRBBRBRBRBRBBRBRBZZZZZZZZZZ" or whatever in my head. I had to avoid my parents, otherwise I'd be in trouble. Oh, and the day after that show, my brother and I were driving to the Y and I remember telling him to speak-up, cause I couldn't hear him. He wanted me to tell my folks, but told him no, because, again, I didn't want to feel their wrath. Matthew Pickard 10:31, 13 Dec 2006 (PST)
