Shows

  • I think the Cro-Mags played there... And Fugazi? I think...
    • Confirmed - Fugazi definitely played there and yes, Ian did get spit on. I remember it so well. I was hanging out afterward to meet the little bald man. I paid to get in I think $10? And was dropped off by mom and dad as well... Rebecca
  • I think this is where Mike Stanioch, Milton Zorro and I saw The Circle Jerks, as well. --KBessa 12:11, 16 Aug 2005 (PDT)
  • Circle Jerks, D.R.I., and the Crusties. D.R.I. played first and lay waste to the rest of the bands. Traded the guitar player from D.R.I. the Metal Church shirt I was wearing for a D.R.I. shirt. I have the ticket stub for this show somewhere. --Dave Kaz
  • I believe Fugazi's first appearance in Milwaukee was here. Ian was spit on and Guy tried to kiss the gentlemen. Pre-guitar Guy. The Circle Jerks show was my first show ever. I won tickets from the mighty WMSE. The only reason my folks would let me go was because they were free. Parents dropped us off and everything....classic....we were accused of doing drugs the moment we stepped back in the car. The irony being we hadn't....not yet. Bill C Aug 17 2005 late.
  • Hey, I believe I won tickets to a Fugazi show here as well from WMSE. I remember at the time I wasn't a huge Fugazi fan, and I ended up just hanging out and talking most of the show. --Pete Prodoehl 06:31, 17 Aug 2005 (PDT)
  • I used to have video tapes of both that very Fugazi show AND some King Diamond (...in my best falsetto...hell yeahhhh!!!) show that were both filmed at the Crystal Palace. Never made it there myself, though. --Kevin (XYZine)
  • The afforementioned Circle Jerks show was also my first "real" punk show. The Crusties were so great I can still remember them like it was yesterday! The Circle Jerks were great as usual but I remember being somewhat bored by DRI...was the guitar player sitting down? hmm.... Does anyone remember the date (or year) of that show? I am also fairly certain it was Jack Koschik(sp?) that put on the shows there. --Jason
