A venue for punk in Milwaukee that was a club for pigeon collectors during the day.

I remember showing up at our gig for soundcheck, and having to wade thru a bunch of old men with cages and cages of pigeons!!! That night we played with a local band, Sacred Order...not the nicest guys, but we had fun regardless. The next time we went up there to play at "Ace Pigeon Club" we were met by to cool girls out in front, who informed us that the gig had been moved to their apartment! So we played the apartment, that was punk in the ealy eighties for you! Milwaukee seemed hard pressed to find a new punk venue after the police riot at Yano's. We came back after a year and played Lake Park Pavillion, not as cool as Yano's but a decent place to play nevertheless. --Matt - Out Of Order - Chicago
